Reflection

In reflection of life the poignant refrain,
Is an uncanny echo of faceless names,
Yet now in the sunset glimmering shine,
These memories flood, yours' or mine?

A tear rolling slowly upon a flush cheek,
The smile of a child still small and meek,
Crisp dawn air serenade as the wind sings,
Just a few of the moments this life brings.

Serenity found in shelter of passionate love,
Humbly lying together gazing at stars above,
Begun young supple forms then slip with age,
In retrospect, the beauty within we shall gauge.

Yes an even the tumult of dark clouds' pour,
Flash of lighting with sister thunders' roar,
Indeed even the times of anguish and pain,
For without these life would not be the same.

As a whole, no doubt the greatest moments of all,
Should we concentrate doing our best to recall,
Those souls who freely gave met along our way,
Truly made life wonderful beyond words each day.
