SEA OF ENDLESS TIME
Never ending days, melting one into
another in a ceaseless flow,
like a creek flowing into a stream,
emerging in a relentless river of nothingness.
Floating with the current on a
repetitious cycle of ups and downs,
the sun splashes me on the face,
another day.

Rapids full of conflict attempt to
rattle me and my day.
Boulders spring up from the depths
of the river leaving me detoured from
my chosen path, more delays,
more barriers to slow me down.

Where's the night, the night that
brings calm to the waters, tranquil seas.
Bring the night to me, let it fall on me
like the curtain at the end of a play,
but no applause will ring in my ears,
my day is still coming, and coming
with it the realization that tomorrows
a new day with the same questions,
my tired eyes have no more answers.
